Francis “Mac” Stanley Malecha, age 89, of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at his residence.
Mac was born February 13, 1932, in Northfield, MN, to the late Stanley Malecha and Julia Trnka Malecha. He was a retired Master Sergeant from the US Army where he served in both Korea and Vietnam. He was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal and two Purple Hearts. He was past Commander of the VFW Post 4895.
Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, May 11, at 11 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Father Jacob Dio officiating. Burial followed at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Brian Mann, Sonny Masiello, Eric Snyder, Nicholas Malecha, Jacob Haley and Stuart Snyder.
Mac is survived by four sons, Richard (Barb) Malecha, David (Melissa) Malecha, Randy (Bettye Sue) Malecha, and Dennis (Charlene) Malecha; five daughters, Regina (Nathan) Snyder, Bonnie Smith, Sandy (Terry) Futrelle, Terri (Mike) Haught, Bobbi (Phil) Haley; two brothers, three sisters, 23 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Malecha, his twin daughters, two brothers and two grandchildren.
