NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Some Eastbound lanes of Interstate 24 in Antioch are closed after a crash involving a semi early Monday morning.

The crash happened around 3 a.m. near the Haywood Lane exit.

Metro police reported four people were injured and taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with unknown injuries.

The driver of the semi-truck had to be cut out of his cab by members of the Nashville Fire Department.

The truck is leaking diesel fuel and HAZMAT officials have been called to the scene of the crash to assist with the cleanup.

A portion of the load the truck was hauling, reportedly canned goods, spilled out during the crash.

The crash is not expected to be cleared until at least 8:15 a.m.
