FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Get ready for the annual Independence Day celebration July 2 – 6 at Fort Campbell’s Division Parade Field. The celebration includes an Independence Day ceremony, July 4. The event is free to enter and open to the public.
The 101st Airborne Division and Fort Campbell MWR will host a week of music, carnival attractions, and, of course, fireworks.
Thursday, July 4 the carnival is open from 1 p.m. to midnight. The 101st Airborne Division Band will open the evening of music at 5 p.m. at the parade field followed by a welcome ceremony at 6 p.m. Clayton Quisenberry hits the stage at 6:30 p.m. This is a return concert for Quisenberry after his recent visit to the Fort Campbell stage opening for Hunter Hayes last August. This year’s headliner, The Downtown Band, performs at 8 p.m. Pending weather conditions, fireworks start at 9:30 p.m.
“The Fort Campbell Independence Day Celebration includes a 22-minute fireworks show choreographed to music. It is one of the most spectacular shows around and an amazing tribute to our nation,” said DFMWR Special Events Coordinator Sharra Rivera Munoz.
Blankets and chairs are welcome. Glass bottles, pets, personal fireworks, outside food or drink or personal weapons are not permitted. Non-military ID card holders will need to enter post through Gates 4 or 7. Be prepared with vehicle registration, proof of insurance and a valid photo ID for each person in the vehicle age 16 and over. All vehicles entering post are subject to be searched.
