CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – First responders were dispatched to the scene of a house fire near 101st Airborne Division Parkway on Thursday morning and found dark pillars of smoke funneling out of a home. Battalion 1 units from stations 8, 10, 9 and 1 were dispatched to a structure fire at the 600 block of Corinth Court.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, they observed heavy smoke coming from the garage and attic. Clarksville Fire Rescue spokesman Michael Rios told Clarksville Now the homeowner heard a pop in the garage and went to check out the noise and saw the flames. Luckily, he escaped without injury.

According to CFR, the fire was brought under control at around 8:57 a.m., and the American Red Cross dispatched to the scene to assist the displaced family of three. No injuries have been reported.

Fire investigators are still on the scene trying to determine the cause of the fire.
