The Fort Campbell Strong initiative is a collaborative effort that began in 2015 to define a path for economic diversification and growth in the six-county region surrounding Fort Campbell including Christian, Todd, and Trigg counties in Kentucky along with Montgomery, Stewart, and Robertson counties in Tennessee. The Fort Campbell Regional Defense Alliance will provide a dedicated, unified voice on matters involving Fort Campbell and the surrounding region with a primary goal to support the overall health of the region’s military and defense sector through economic and workforce development activities.
“The Fort Campbell Strong Defense Alliance is something our community needs to be really excited about and bringing CSM (RET) Malloy on board should only elevate that excitement level,” said Jeff Truitt, Montgomery County Government Chief of Staff and Board Co-Chair. “We are fortunate to have such a well-connected and driven individual steering the course as we organize and align the defense alliance moving forward. This groundbreaking six county effort to create the area’s first consolidated and organized alliance to advocate and protect our asset in Fort Campbell will one day be looked upon as a pivotal moment in our region. I hope this is just the beginning of many more partnerships you see crossing state lines and aligning our communities.”
