CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (ESPN Clarksville) Our ESPN Clarksville Culver’s Athlete of the Week is West Creek High School senior point guard, Diamond Jones. She recently surpassed the 1000 career point mark, and is the only player in West Creek High School girls’ basketball history to accomplish this achievement. The senior averages 19 points per game and 4 rebounds per game for the Coyotes.
“Diamond is small in nature, but packs a punch into her game. She is quick off the dribble and her dribbling skills cross up many defenders in the league. She is a special player that has worked hard on her craft the past two years to emerge as one of the best players in the district/area.” said West Creek head coach Megan Sellers. “She has poured a lot of time outside of practice to improve individually and makes others better around her when she is on the court. She is a very unselfish player and helps to get others involved on the court.”
