Surrounded by his family, Eric William McGregor entered into eternal rest on the evening of Tuesday, October 17, 2023.

Born on December 18th, 1961, Eric’s life was a testament to warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. His presence brightened the lives of all who were fortunate to cross his path. He had the ability to make even the dullest moments sparkle with humor with his infectious laugh and ever-present smile.

He shared his life with his best friend and wife, Gina. Their travels took them around the world, but their most treasured moments were spent fishing and biking in Mexico Beach, FL. As a father, Eric was a loving pillar of support to his children, nurturing their confidence and talents in every stage of their lives.

Eric graduated with a degree in Chemistry from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, after which he spent his career in Quality Control at Innophos. His 39 years with the company earned him the unofficial title of ‘Company Historian.’

Beyond all else, Eric’s legacy lies in his open heart, his talent for expressing gratitude and genuine care for others. He made everyone feel valued and respected, leaving no important words unspoken. Let’s not mourn his passing, but instead, cherish the warmth and light he brought into our lives.

Join us for a Celebration of Eric’s Life on Wednesday, October 25th at Neal Tarpley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2-4pm with the Celebration of Life to immediately follow. To celebrate his love of Tennessee football, feel free to wear UT orange if you so choose.
