CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Early voting for the Montgomery County General and Tennessee State Primary Election August 7 runs through Saturday, August 2.

Montgomery County Administrator of Elections, Vickie Koelman says it’s a full ballot in the upcoming election with 99 candidates and 23 judicial retention questions. Koelman recommended voters do their homework before stepping up to the voting machine.

To cast your ballots and vote early you will need to go by the Montgomery County Election Commission Office in Veterans Plaza at 350 Pageant Lane, Suite 404 which is two doors down from the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library.

You can vote early starting Friday, August 1, 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Saturday August 2, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Koelman talked about what early voters will need to bring when they come by the Election Commission to cast their ballot. “In order to vote you have to have a federal or state issued photo ID. It just has to have your photo and your name,” said Koelman.

The Election Commission is also looking for individuals that would like to work at the polls for the August 7 election. If you are available to work on August 7 call or go by the Election Commission office.
