Dorothy Floyd Smith, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at the age of 88.
Dorothy was born on September 24, 1935, to the late Cecil Floyd and Mary Alice Akin. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Randolph Smith, and son, Michael Smith.
Mrs. Smith was a Professor at Austin Peay State University until her retirement in 1991. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to the Randolph and Dorothy Smith Scholarship Fund at APSU.
Dorothy is survived by her grandchildren Katie (Gilliam) Lindsey, Kyle Gilliam, and Matthew Gilliam; along with four great grandchildren.
Celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday June 27, 2024, at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
