The 5K run is a fundraiser to help families of Tennessee Law Enforcement officers who have been killed or seriously injured in the line of duty .

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – More than 60 runners took to the roads of Montgomery County Saturday night for the seventh annual Deputy Bubba Johnson Memorial Road Race.

The 5K run, which began and ended at Grace Community Church on Dunlop Lane, is a fundraiser to assist the families of Tennessee law enforcement officers who are killed or seriously injured in the line of duty.

Johnson died Ja. 12, 2014, in a motor vehicle accident while on duty with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Johnson had previously served with the Clarksville Police Department and the Montgomery County Emergency Medical Services.
