CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Clarksville Transit System (CTS) will offer free rides all day on Wednesday, July 3 in celebration of Independence Day.
CTS wants to provide passengers an opportunity to enjoy Independence Day shopping and other activities with a free ride from the City of Clarksville.
Citizens are invited to become City explorers on routes that provide safe, daily transportation to many parks, pools, and recreation centers operated by the Clarksville Parks & Recreation Department.
Bus routes also offer access to the public library, Roxy Theatre, Customs House Museum and numerous historical sites. City buses also provide transport to and from many Fourth of July events.
CTS’s standard routes operate Monday through Saturday from 4:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. The downtown Transit Center is open Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Route information is available online.
CTS will be closed July 4, 2019 in celebration of Independence Day. No regular bus service will run on Independence Day, Thursday, July 4. Normal route service will resume Friday, July 5.
