CLARKSVILLE, TN – CMCSS K-12 Virtual School is now accepting applications for the upcoming school year. As a school of choice within the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System, the Virtual School serves students in grades K–12 through a fully synchronous online learning model designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s families. Eligible students must be residents of Clarksville.

Originally launched in the 2021–2022 school year, the school grew out of the district’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the increasing demand for high-quality virtual learning options. Today, CMCSS K-12 Virtual School serves approximately 750 students and operates as the district’s dedicated hub for online education.

Students learn from home in a safe, structured environment while participating in daily live instruction through video conferencing. This model allows for meaningful interaction with teachers and classmates while maintaining the flexibility many families need. Students are supported at home by a Learning Mentor, whose level of assistance varies based on the student’s age and grade level. Younger students typically require more hands-on guidance, while older students develop increasing independence with mentor support.

All classes are taught by experienced, dedicated CMCSS teachers who are committed to maintaining high academic expectations and building strong relationships with students. The school believes all students are capable of learning and remains student-centered in every decision it makes. Through structured schedules, real-time instruction, and consistent teacher support, CMCSS K-12 Virtual School provides a comprehensive educational experience in a virtual setting.
