CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System announced today, Friday, March 20, that effective Monday, March 23rd until further notice, meals for children will be served Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to noon.
Meals will be distributed via a grab-and-go, curbside method at the following sites:
- Barksdale Elementary School, 1920 Madison Street
- Barkers Mill Elementary, 1230 Little Bobcat Lane
- Burt Elementary, 110 Bailey Street
- Byrns Darden Elementary- 609 E Street
- Cumberland Heights Elementary- 2093 Ussery Road South
- Glenellen Elementary- 825 Needmore Road
- Kenwood Elementary- 1101 Peachers Mill Road
- Minglewood Elementary- 215 Cunningham Lane
- Moore Elementary- 1350 Madison Street
- Norman Smith Elementary-740 Greenwood Ave.
- Ringgold Elementary- 240 Ringgold Road
- Woodlawn Elementary-2250 Woodlawn Road
The following high schools are also locations:
- Kenwood- 251 East Pine Mountain Road
- Montgomery Central-3955 Highway 48
- Northeast-3701 Trenton Road
- Northwest- 800 Lafayette Road
- West Creek- 1210 West Creek Coyote Trail
This service is open to all children 18 years and younger. Meals will be distributed via a grab-and-go, curbside method.
The child receiving the meal must be present at the distribution site.
Meals cannot be consumed on site, per USDA regulations.
Each child will get a bag that will include four meals on both Monday and Wednesday, and six meals on Friday.
This plan will reduce the amount of travel to and from the distribution sites during the week. Some of the food will require refrigeration and/or re-heating to ensure freshness.
CMCSS encourages families to practice social distancing and not congregate at the meal pickup locations.
