Claude Merle Strunk, 79, of Clarksville, TN, died Sunday, September 15, 2013 at VA Hospital, Murfreesboro, TN. He was born January 17, 1934 in Corbin, KY to the late Herman Strunk and Delia Smith Strunk. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Strunk.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, September 19 at 12 p.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Jon Lockwood officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 19 from 9 a.m. until the hour of service, at the funeral home.
Claude was a mechanic at Bridgestone-Firestone and a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a member of the Family Worship Center.
He is survived by two daughters, Glenda (Jon) Lockwood and Carolyn (Trent) Pulley, both of Clarksville, TN; one brother, Hershell (Sue) Strunk; seven grandchildren, Josh (Meghan) Lockwood, Chris (Stephanie) Lockwood, Daniel Lockwood, Trent Daniel Pulley, Ryan Pulley, Ethan Pulley, and Nico Pulley; and four great-grandchildren, Gavin Lockwood, Rachel Lockwood, Landon Lockwood, and Aiden Lockwood.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Family Worship Center, 2225 Woodlawn Road, Woodlawn, TN 37191.
