Oktoberfest at Christ Lutheran Church
Christ Lutheran Church in Clarksville (2425 Kirkwood Rd.) will host its inaugural Oktoberfest this year. The festival starts on Friday, September 21, and will last from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m., before it continues Saturday, September 22, lasting from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Beer mugs, t-shirts, and commemorative bottled beer will be available to purchase, and vendors there will offer German-themed knick-knacks such as nutcrackers and Hummel figurines, for those interested in souvenirs.
Clarksville Movies in the Park- Beauty and the Beast
Enjoy a free movie on the big screen outside at Liberty Park Amphitheater. Bring a blanket and/or lawn chairs and come hungry as we will have food available for purchase from on-site concessions.
Pre-show activities begin at 5 p.m. with the movie at 6:45 p.m.
Harlem Wizards at New Providence Middle School
The world-famous Harlem Wizards will visit New Providence Middle School on Saturday, September 22 for an evening of great fun and fundraising. The Wizards will play a game against a team of CMCSS administrators, and teachers.
The event will feature a variety of fun interactive extras to complement the Wizards’ dazzling demonstration of hoops artistry: Pregame “Wiz Kids” warm-up, contests, comedy, awesome slam dunks, audience participation, merchandise giveaways, and more. The game will conclude with the Wizards’ signature dance extravaganza that will have the crowd on their feet.
Tickets are priced as follows: General Admission $10, Courtside Plus with meet & greet $25
Oak Grove Butterfly Festival
Oak Grove’s 10th annual Butterfly Festival will be held Saturday, September 22 at War Memorial Walking Trail Park, 101 Walter Garrett Lane, Oak Grove, Ky.
The free festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and features a live release of over 1,400 butterflies. Come and interact with live butterflies in their habitat in the Butterfly House or let the Master Gardeners take you on a tour of the beautiful Butterfly Garden.
