CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – We have dozens of nonprofits in Clarksville, supporting everything from hunger relief to youth mentoring to animal shelters. We’ve reached the point that we need a way to organize it all: to connect donors and volunteers with organizations, and to connect people in need with the agencies that can help them.

Welcome to #ClarksvilleStrong.

A new need, a new website

5 Star Media Group initially created ClarksvilleStrong.com at the beginning of the pandemic as a way to support small local businesses whose doors were temporarily closed. After that success, and with the pandemic shutdowns behind us, we’ve now relaunched #ClarksvilleStrong to focus on charity organizations.

The site, which is completely free, is an information warehouse so nonprofit supporters, volunteers and potential clients can see all of Montgomery County’s charity organizations in one place.

The site is both searchable and browsable. For example, go to the site and click “Charities,” then click “Filters.” If you then select “Veterans Organizations,” you see SAFE, The American Legion, AUSA and more. If you change the filter to “Human Services,” you’ll see Urban Ministries, Habitat for Humanity, Manna Cafe Ministries and more.

Nonprofits can highlight and update their current needs – whether that be for goods, money or volunteers – so that people can see tangible ways to get involved. Nonprofits can also include a link to their website and a direct link to their donation page.

#ClarksvilleStrong will get prominent and ongoing promotion by Clarksville Now and the nine local 5 Star Media Group stations – including Q108, Beaver 100.3, Rewind 94.3 and Z97.5.

Get involved in our community

The site is active now at ClarksvilleStrong.com, with about two dozen charity organizations already signed up. All local nonprofits who haven’t already are encouraged to load the site with their information, all at no charge. To add your nonprofit’s information, click Charities – Submit Your Organization.

We hope #ClarksvilleStrong will serve our nonprofits well so they can do even more to serve our community.
