CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Clarksville Young Professionals met Wednesday and their guest speaker was Frank Tate, the new Executive Director of the Clarksville-Montgomery County Industrial Development Board (IDB).
Tate took over as director of the IDB in July.
During the meeting, Tate discussed the work that has been put into the community and what local leaders have accomplished.
“Those leaders took chances and to me that’s a good reminder of what we need to do as young professionals,” Tate said.

He called each of those at the meeting economic ambassadors and asked how members can continue the momentum that Clarksville has started for the younger age group. He said Clarksville’s success can be attributed to customer service and dedication to change.
“As young leaders in business it is our responsibility to have that shared vision and hold true to being a great business friendly community with impactful customer service. Let’s continue to conduct the ground work that our predecessors laid for us and help mold it into a story we are proud of,” Tate said.
Tate said he is excited to be at the helm of the IDB and plans to address new industries and recruit a new work force.
