CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Clarksville Rotary Club will host its 100-year Anniversary Gala on Wednesday, May 17 from 5:30-9:00 p.m. at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. The Clarksville Rotary Club was chartered on May 17, 1917 and the Rotary Foundation was established in June 1917.
These iconic milestones will be celebrated with a Diamond Dinner event highlighting the past 100 years of the Clarksville Rotary Club’s local leaders, major community projects, the many volunteer hours and monetary donations spent helping those in need.
Rotary’s motto, “Service Above Self”, continues to be highly recognized throughout the Clarksville community and the number one reason of the Clarksville Rotary Club’s existence. The club supports a long list of local organizations and helps with many issues.
Over the years since 1917 the Clarksville Rotary Club has been one of the leaders in Clarksville-Montgomery County for community projects. Most recently, in 2016, the Rotary Club shared in the creation of the handicapped accessible playground and splash pad built at Heritage Park.
The upcoming gala will also include the centennial anniversary of the $1 billion charitable arm of Rotary International, The Rotary Foundation. The Rotary Foundation is dedicated to advancing world understanding, goodwill, and peace. Activities at the event will include a live and silent auction, entertainment with the Roxy Theater’s Kit Kat Club and the evening will be topped off with fireworks.

Tickets for the Clarksville Rotary Club’s Anniversary Gala are $100 per person and $750 for a Table Sponsor of eight.
