CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Clarksville Police Union #18 sponsored a Kids Shopping with Cops Extravaganza at Sango Walmart on Saturday, Dec 8 for over 150 children.
Some children shopped for themselves while others bought gifts for friends and families.
Officers from Clarksville Police Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and civilians with a connection to law enforcement escorted the kids around to help pick out the perfect gift. Santa even took out time from his busy schedule to make an appearance.
“It was hard to tell who was having a better time, the the officers or the children,” Clarksville Police Department spokesman Jim Knoll said.
The Clarksville Police Department thanked the local community for their generous donations, which made the shopping day possible.
