CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Clarksville Police Department and Clergy Rapid Mobilization Team (CPMT) hosted a princess parade for the Summit Heights community on Saturday, March 28.

The event consisted of princesses riding on a float along with clergy and officers escorting “Royal Movie Characters” through the Summit Heights housing area. While the princesses interacted and sang to the group that gathered, officers and clergy handed out literature, comic books, badges, and, more importantly, were able to talk with the children and parents in surroundings conducive to positive social interaction.

The parade allowed for police and clergy members to meet with the residents in a fun and enjoyable environment.

The CRMT is made up of community leaders and ministers from different cultural and faith groups working together to bring the community and police department together. They work in unison with the Chaplains’ Program of the Clarksville Police Department.

“The Clarksville Police Department would like to extend their gratitude to the residents who took time to come meet officers and members of the CRMT and express their appreciation to the CRMT who pulled it all together and made the event successful,” CPD spokesman Jim Knoll said.
