CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) will be open on Monday, Feb. 25, according to officials.
“Of the 29,000 students who ride school buses, about 20 students are in areas where buses won’t be able to reach,” CMCSS spokesperson Elise Shelton said.
The system is in communication with the families of those student to make alternative transportation plans.
Depending upon the timing for the reopening of Dunbar Cave Road, buses which normally travel that route to the Rossview campus may have to travel an alternate route which could cause delayed service for some students.
Although the flash flooding threat has ended, many locations are still dealing with high water from record rainfall.
In addition, many rivers and creeks are above flood stage and will remain there for several days.
