CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Clarksville Montgomery County Education Association’s member-led political action committee (CMC-PACE) has announced its endorsement of candidate Joe Pitts for city mayor.

“The future of public education in Clarksville-Montgomery County depends greatly on our local elected officials supporting our public schools and prioritizing the best interests of all Clarksville-Montgomery County children,” said Constance Brown, president of CMCEA. “After interviewing candidates, we believe we have endorsed the candidate that will be the strongest advocate for our students and educators.”

A team of civically-minded educators from various schools and grade levels came together to interview candidates and review their written responses to a questionnaire. After thorough discussion of the many strengths of each candidate, CMC-PACE is endorsing Joe Pitts for Clarksville mayor.
