CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – MyTV30 Sports has announced that this week’s televised game will be the battle of the Warfield Shield between Clarksville High and Rossview High.
The game will be televised as a part of their “Friday Night Rivals” series, which broadcasts the best game in the state of Tennessee each week.
The Wildcats and Hawks are entering their 24th matchup in the rivalry’s history. The Wildcats have won seven straight matchups in the rivalry, with the closest contest in that timeframe being a 10-9 win at Clarksville High in 2021.

The last time the Hawks won the Warfield Shield was in 2016, when they won the game 42-7. They were led by former quarterback and current Rossview High assistant baseball coach, Gino Avros, who also played baseball for Austin Peay State University.
‘I know how much this game means to this community’
On the call for the game will be former Clarksville High and Vanderbilt University offensive lineman Bruno Reagan. According to previous reports, Reagan earned the right to start at right guard for the Commodores his second year on campus.
From that point on, Reagan started 40 consecutive games at right guard and center. His career at Vanderbilt showcased his position versatility as well as his toughness, which led to a career in professional football.
“I’m excited because I know how much this game means to this community,” Reagan told Clarksville Now. “I got to be a part of some exciting games that come down to the wire. It’s going to be hard not to be biased, but football in Clarksville has grown so much thanks to the alumni of both these programs, so I’m excited to help share that with the rest of the state.”
