CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Clarksville High School hosted another signing to celebrate 10 senior athletes headed to the collegiate level to compete.
Football’s running back Payton Langan became the sixth signee of the 2024 Wildcat class, signing to the University of Wisconsin-Steven’s point. Baseball’s Christian Henderson, a RHP and the District 13-4A pitcher of the year, became baseball’s fifth signee, signing to Carson-Newman.
Soccer had two signees, Seth Revoir (Caroll College) and Isiah Alejandrez (Franklin College). Soccer head coach Austin Carey was proud to see his guys go on to the next level.
“As a coach you always want to see your players do something that they love,” said Carey. “Seth and Isiah have both committed themselves over the past years to playing to the best of their abilities. Playing a college sport is not something a lot of high school athletes have the ability to do, and we’re always proud as a school when they can.”
State champion wrestler Shaniya Wysinger signed to Indian Hills Community College. Averi Hawtin and Ella Moore were the two representatives from volleyball, and were four-time district and region champions.
Coach Glen Fox was excited to see all of their dedication recognized. “It’s an exciting time to see their work pay off,” said Fox. “They get the chance to go to the next level, and that should never be overlooked. I’m extremely proud of them, it just shows our program is working.”
To round off the signees, Kellen Howard (Grove City College) and Jabari Jolley (Hesston College) from basketball signed to the next level. Howard and Jolley went to the state tournament twice, with Howard averaging 16.3 PPG his senior year.
