CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville High School baseball team was awarded the Class 4A Field of the Year Award yesterday afternoon by the Tennessee Baseball Coaches Assocation. When asked about the achievement, CHS head baseball coach Brian Hetland told Clarksville Now the Wildcat community made this recognition possible.

“It’s a great honor to receive two field of the year honors for 2024,” said Hetland. “TBCA Class 4A represents a ton of quality diamonds. Our coaches, players and community of parents’, past and present, have made big contributions to the enhancements and upkeep of the Clarksville High Baseball Field. Tennessee Turfgrass High School Field of the Year is a big honor as well. We appreciate both great organizations recognizing our hard work.”

The Wildcats baseball program has made two straight state tournaments, including three out of the last four years. Now, the team looks to go to state three straight years for the first time in program history.
