CLARKSVILLE, TN – Fire Chief Freddie Montgomery, Jr. and Clarksville Fire Rescue will host their annual 9/11 Ceremony to honor the lives lost during the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.
The ceremony will be held on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at 8:46 a.m. at Clarksville Fire Rescue Headquarters (821 Franklin Street). This event is open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend.
The program will feature a joint honor guard made up of local first responders and military personnel, the placement of a memorial wreath, and a tribute to Clarksville Fire Rescue firefighters who have died in the line of duty.
Following the ceremony, CFR personnel will participate in the Memorial Stair Climb in remembrance of the first responders who gave their lives on 9/11.
Parking for this event is available at 819 Main Street and Fifth Ward Baptist Church (900 Franklin Street). Please do not park in the row closest to the construction.
Additionally, Franklin Street from 723 Franklin Street (Hooker’s Funeral Home) to 9th Street and 8th Street from Main Street to Franklin Street will be closed to traffic from 7:30 a.m. to approximately 10:00 a.m.
