CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Some good Samaritans will meet up Saturday to help a Clarksville senior citizen with some heavy lifting.

Building and codes said a large rotten tree had to come down and the homeowner had no one to help with the cleanup process.

The woman contacted Habitat for Humanity for assistance. Tree removal is outside Habitat’s program parameters, but a volunteer rounded up a half-dozen others to help haul the tree away after ClarksvilleNow shared a call for help.

The volunteers said they should be able to cut it up and haul it off in about an hour, which will happen Saturday.
