CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Academy Lady Cougars hosted the Nashville Christian Eagles in their final game of the 2024-25 regular season. Academy started out strong, but couldn’t maintain momentum and fell to Nashville Christian, 66-35.

Early on, the Cougars were able to string together several stops, starting the game out with a 7-0 lead. Academy continued to hit shots, but the Eagles gained their footing, and forward Anniston Allgood got to work in the paint, leading all scorers with 16. Nashville Christian led 32-20 at the half. Clarksville Academy head coach Charles Clark loved the start but would like to see his squad continue to carry their momentum further.

“From the last time we played them, we clearly got better,” Clark told Clarksville Now. “We have a younger team, and sometimes we lose focus over the course of the game, it’s the little things. Credit to Nashville Christian, they’re one of the top teams in the state for a reason.”

Despite a strong second half from Sicily Robinson, who led the Cougars in scoring with 13, the Cougars were not able to keep up with the Eagles offense and fell in the regular season finale. For Clark and his team, their record is now 0-0, and it’s win or go home in the postseason next week.

“We just need to take good pieces from these past few games,” said Clark. “I’ve seen a lot of crazy things over the years happen in the postseason. We’re on a slide, but nobody cares. We’re going to try to be consistent, execute for 32 minutes, and see what happens.”
