CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Clarksville Academy has forfeited its next two football games – against Friendship Christian School and Montgomery Central – due to current roster constraints and ongoing student-athlete medical recoveries.
The decision comes after the Cougars forfeited their Week 3 matchup against Grace Christian Academy due to a lack of participation, with just 12 players available.
In a statement, Clarksville Academy Athletic Director Sean Wilson wrote: “Given our current roster size and health limitations, taking the field over the next two weeks would compromise the well-being of our players. While we share in the disappointment this brings to our team and community, this brief pause provides our student-athletes the necessary time to heal properly while allowing new players to acclimate to the roster.”
Through three games, Clarksville Academy has been outscored 126-0.
Although the Cougars will not take the field over the next two weeks, Wilson said the school remains committed to completing the season.
“Clarksville Academy remains fully committed to completing the 2026 Upper School football season. The Cougars expect to return to competition at full strength on Friday, October 2, for their Homecoming game against Ezell-Harding Christian School at the Clarksville Academy Sports Complex.”
