CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Despite the current cold, it will soon be time to gather children’s spring and summer clothing at the 18th Annual Little Lambs and Ivy Consignment Sale. It’s a great sale for finding deals or for earning spare cash by becoming a consigner.
The sale will be open to the public from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25 through Friday, Feb. 27 and from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 28. It will take place at the Machinists Union Hall at 121 Union Hall Road, Clarksville, Tennessee 37040.
Organizer Jeanette Smith says, “There will be shorts, capris, swimsuits and a lot of different Easter options for girls and boys.”

Some of the girls’ clothes are already tagged and ready to sell.
Anyone who brings at least 15 items to the sale receives consigner privileges, such as special preview times and discounts. There is a pre-sale for consigners, friends of consigners and new moms on Feb. 24.
Feb. 19 to 21 are the dates for turning in consignment items. Sellers can go to www.tnconsign.com to register for an appointment or email or call Smith at littlelambsandivy@gmail.com or 931-358-2979 (please, no calls after 9 p.m.).

Various brands of boys’ clothing will be in the sale.
Smith says the clothing will range in size from newborn to 14. The sale will also feature infant equipment, maternity, shoes and toys. At the Little Lambs and Ivy Consignment Sale shoppers typically pay about 25 percent of the original market value for secondhand clothes (sellers price their clothes as they wish).
Smith says that some sellers have promised to consign Kelly’s Kids clothing – a sought-after, high-end brand. She also expects the usual brands the sale attracts, including Crazy 8, Target, Old Navy, Children’s Place, Gap, Abercrombie, Ralph Lauren, Mini Boden, Under Armour, Chez Ami, Strasburg, Nike, Gymboree, Chaps, Hartstrings, Orient Expressed, Jack & Janie and Hanna Anderson.
“We get an array of different brands,” she says.
The second, third and fourth days of the sale will offer successive discounts to consigners and to the general public, from 25 to 50 percent off. (Visit the website at www.tnconsign.com to get specifics on these dates.) Smith will mail out checks to consigners within two weeks of the sale’s end.
