CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Police reported a five-year-old girl was stuck by a car when she was standing near a bus stop on Providence Boulevard.

Reports state a Chevy Impala driven by a 53-year-old female was making a right turn out of a private driveway to go north on Providence Boulevard. The woman pulled out in front of a Nissan Altima, driven by an 18 year old female, traveling north on the same road.

The cars collided and the Chevy went off the roadway striking the five-year-old waiting at the bus stop.

The five-year-old was taken by ground transportation to a Nashville Hospital. She sustained a leg injury but is in stable condition according to police. The 18-year-old was also transported to Tennova Medical Center and is in stable condition.

The 53-year-old was cited for failure to yield and was released.
