Eateries across Middle Tennessee are opting to close their dining rooms during the coronavirus pandemic. Two national companies, Chick-fil-a and Starbucks, will continue to serve customers via drive thru, to go, and other options that limit the close contact of customers.

All dining rooms and playgrounds at Chick-fil-a are closed.

“As we all know, the situation with COVID-19 is extremely dynamic and we will continue to review the facts and science and make the proactive decisions necessary to protect our partners, customers and communities,” Rossann Williams, executive vice president and president of Starbucks Corporation said in a statement.

The dining limitations did not stop people from visiting the Chick-fil-a on Wilma Rudolph Blvd Monday, as a steady stream of cars continued to move through the drive thru.

The restaurant industry in Montgomery County is concerned about continued closures imposed by the government. Mandates in other states have ordered all restaurants and bars to remain closed in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19. In Nashville the Metro Nashville Board of Health has ordered the closure of restaurants and bars in and around Lower Broadway.
