Charlotte Sue Higgins Phares, 70, of Indian Mound, TN, died Sunday, August 18, 2013 at her residence. She was born January 10, 1943 in Princeton, IN to the late George Glen Higgins and Mae Montgomery Higgins. She is also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Higgins and Ray Higgins and seven sisters, Betty Goldman, Sarah Thetford, Mary Beauchamp, Allene Potts, Pauline Osmon, Faye Yonaka, and Dorothy Mae.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West, Hopkinsville, KY at 1:00 pm with Bro. David Evans officiating.
Charlotte was retired from the U.S. Air Force after 17 years as a Air Force Technical Instructor, where she taught aircraft principles. She was a civil service employee for 24 years. She was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church in Indian Mound.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Lee Phares of Indian Mound, TN; son, Glen (Helen) Phares; daughter, Andrea (Thomas) Eckert; seven grandchildren, Rebecca Christian, Rachael Phares, Brandon Phares, Jessica Hart, Kathryn Brown, Brianna Eckert and Daniel Eckert; and one great grandchild, Karsyn Hart.
