Charles Edward Blair, 66, of Clarksville, TN, died Friday, August 16, 2013 at his residence. He was born on December 2, 1946 in Magee, MS to the late Felix Blair and Marynell Kennedy Blair. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Kenny Blair and sister, Jeanette Strahan.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 12 p.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Jerry Harwell officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West in Hopkinsville, KY. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2013 from 3-7 p.m. and Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Charles was a Retired SFC with the 160th First Special Operations Unit. He served three tours in Vietnam with the 25th Infantry. He also served in Grenada and Panama.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Jones Blair of Clarksville, TN; son, Chris Blair (Kathy) of Raymond, MS; and three sisters, Tinnie Lang (John), Darlene Berry (James), and Kathy Evans (Travis).
