CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The big chill that begins today is going to last awhile; possibly through the first day of winter, December 21.

The cold front sweeping across Middle Tennessee will bring rain through the day Tuesday, followed by falling temperatures.

The forecast from Wednesday through Sunday calls for highs mainly in the 40s and lows mainly in the 20s.

The chance for snow Friday and Saturday has increased to 40% though no accumulation is expected.

The 8-14 day outlook calls for continued below normal readings.
