CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Manna Café Ministries held the grand opening of their Refuge Community Center Thursday along with a ribbon-cutting ceremony as a new member of the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce.

The Refuge Community Center, at 503 D Street, is part of the Manna Village campus.  U.S. Congressman Mark Green, Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts and Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett, along with community leaders and volunteers were on hand for the event.

Founder of Manna Café, Kenny York said the Refuge Community Center had been a dream of his for ten years.  “The kitchen and being able to do a warming center and have a place where we could actually start loving on folks and not just feed them,” said York.

York’s wife Vicki, also one of the founders of Manna Cafe Ministries was no able to be present at the event.
