
The heavy rains forecast for Friday and Saturday could cause flooding in low lying areas around creeks and streams across the region.

The city of Clarksville is still recovering from heavier rain earlier this week, which forced some parks to close.

Rainfall in amounts of 1 to 3 inches is expected and heavy rainfall could lead to flooding of roads, low lying areas, low water crossings, rivers, creeks, and streams.

The more intense storms will move in on Monday afternoon into the early evening. Middle Tennessee could pick up 1-4″ of rain in total which could lead to flooding.

Some areas of Middle Tennessee are expected to see 1 to 1.5 inches of snow on Tuesday evening.
City and County offices will open at 10 a.m., Tuesday due to a wintry mix of snow and ice that fell on Clarksville Monday evening.
There’s a chance of light snow and below freezing temperatures causing travel problems Monday night into Tuesday.
