It was always expected to be a shootout, and on Friday, October 29, the Kenwood Knights and Northeast Eagles delivered on that promise. After a back and forth game, the Eagles emerged victorious, 32-29, over the Knights, who were celebrating their senior night.

Three of our local teams will be playing in that week with one more possible team getting to say the same. The question is who will be that team?

After suffering their first loss of the season to Tullahoma before fall break, Montgomery Central football faced a strong squad from Marshall County Friday night, October 22. At 6-2, the Tigers came to play spoiler on senior night in a game with huge playoff implications. The Indians entered their last two weeks hoping to avoid being seeded low enough to travel in the postseason.

Despite Montgomery Central suffering their first loss of the season, one thing is for certain: The Indians will get to play at least one game in the playoffs.

Northwest High School girls won the district soccer championship against Henry County Thursday night.

Clarksville High and West Creek football met Thursday in a Region 5-6A matchup.

Several local squads will meet on Thursday this week, including Clarksville High School and West Creek.
