CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Former Nashville Mayor and Democratic gubernatorial candidate Karl Dean will meet with local residents on Monday, July 31 at the Montgomery County Library.
This will be Dean’s second stop in Montgomery County in three days, coming off his Saturday appearance at the Lone Oak Picnic.
Dean, the only announced Democrat for governor so far, is hoping to reverse course for his party which hasn’t won an open race for statewide office since Phil Bredesen’s election as governor in 2002.
According to the Elect Karl Dean Facebook page, Monday’s event is billed as a ‘meetup’ hosted by Dean and Justin Kanew who is running for Tennessee’s 7th District House seat now held by Republican Marsha Blackburn.
The event is Monday, July 31 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at the Montgomery County Library at 350 Pageant Lane.
