CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – As authorities encourage citizens to limit their exposure to public places, businesses are reminding customers of their online bill payment options.
Below are a list of utilities and local companies offering online bill payment:
Clarksville Gas & Water
Beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, March 16 all Gas & Water facilities where business transactions are conducted face-to-face with the public — including customer service centers, administration and engineering offices, and water and wastewater treatment plants — will be closed to customers and visitors. Conditions will be monitored frequently, and the public will be notified promptly when full access resumes.
Customers are encouraged to make bill payments on time by accessing the online customer account management feature, WebConnect, at www.clarksvillegw.com. Customers also may pay-by-phone using the Utility Billing Line, (931) 645-7400, and follow the interactive voice prompts; pay by regular mail with the bill stub; or deposit payments in customer service center drop boxes at 2015 Fort Campbell Blvd. and 2215 Madison St.
Gas & Water will not turn off services on past due accounts while customer service centers are temporarily closed to the public nor will late fees or penalties be applied to past due accounts for one month’s billing cycle.
The Madison Street drive-thru window service will be open only to receive building contractor documents to process new construction requests.
County Clerk’s Office
The County Clerk’s office is asking residents to take advantage of online renewal services. According to Montgomery County Clerk Kellie Jackson, approximately 800 people a day, or 4,000 people per week, come into the County Clerk’s office for various services.
“At least 1,000 people per week come to the office for vehicle registration renewals, alone,” said Jackson. “It is a priority for us to keep our citizens and our employees safe and well, so we are requesting that residents please use online services for vehicle renewals when possible.”
