CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) Agents of the Clarksville Police Department’s Special Operations Unit conducted compliance checks targeting the sales of alcohol to underage persons Oct. 15.
Compliance checks were conducted on 19 businesses with only one business cited for selling to underage persons.
Kwik-N-Easy Tobacco and Brew at 919A Tiny Town Rd. was cited.
The Clarksville Police Department has added two additional Alcohol Beverage Control Agents to the Special Operations Unit. These agents will make regulating the 297 businesses in Clarksville that have city beer permits more efficient.
The new ABC Agents are Agent Nathan Lee and Agent Ryan Steinlage. These new agents will work in conjunction with Tennessee State Alcohol Beverage Control and will focus on conducting compliance and regulatory checks on businesses with beer permits as well as special events where beer is being sold.
