CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Nicole Pamblanco, 23, of Clarksville remains in detention in the Montgomery County Jail on charges of Reckless Homicide and Child Abuse in the drowning death of her 8-month-old daughter, Abigail, who died Aug. 28, 2013 at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.

The infant was found unresponsive at their home on Northwood Terrace Aug. 22.

On Thursday, homicide detectives along with the assistance of patrol officers with the Clarksville Police Department arrested Pamblanco under a sealed indictment, which included the above listed charges.

During the course of the investigation, it was determined that Pamblanco was directly responsible for Abigail’s death. The Tennessean reports that an indictment accuses Pamblanco of leaving the child unattended in a bathtub with the water running. The case was presented to the October Grand Jury, which returned a true bill. This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.

Pamblanco has an arraignment hearing scheduled for November 5.
