CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – There’s a young lady in Clarksville, 3-year-old Layla Breil, who, with the help of her family, friends and the community, hopes to bring the YouTube  character Blippi to town for a visit to have some fun.

Layla, her mom and dad Lauren and Brenden Breil along with their baby daughter, Myka, stopped by the studios of radio stations Q108, Beaver Country 100.3, and Rewind 94.3 Friday morning to share details of their hopes to bring Blippi to Clarksville.

For those who may not be familiar, Blippi is a YouTube character who is fun and energetic, wears a blue and orange outfit and offers children entertaining and educational videos to help teach them colors, letters and a whole lot more.

The Breil family submitted a video of Layla to the Blippi in my Hometown Contest, and Layla is one of five finalists from across the nation who are in the running to have Blippi visit their city. The family is encouraging everyone to go to Blippi.com and vote for Layla.

“We have been talking to Layla since she first started watching Blippi when she was 1 year old about maybe Blippi will want to play with you one day,” Breil said. “When the contest was announced, I rushed and did as much as I could do to make my daughters dream come true.”

To vote, go to Blippi.com, go to the “Blippi in my Hometown” section, find Layla’s video, and, in the bottom right-hand corner, there’s a heart. Click the heart and it will turn blue. Breil emphasized that voting ends Saturday, July 9, at midnight and each person can vote once a day.

Layla said she felt great about having Blippi come to town, and they were going to play and have so much fun.
