Betty Poindexter, age 75 of Clarksville, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020. Viewing Friday, December 18, 2020, 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Foston Funeral Home. Celebration of Life 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2020, at Foston Memorial Chapel. Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Betty Jean was born April 5, 1945, in Montgomery County to Ruben West, Sr and Catherine McFall West. She was a 1963 graduate of historic Burt High School and a faithful member of Martin Chapel AME Church. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Wells, parents, brothers, MacAuthur, Carl, and Ruben West.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories devoted husband, William A. Poindexter; daughter, Delmetria Melvin; son, Lester Eldridge; sister, Mattie Mae West all of Clarksville, TN; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, a host of family, church members, and friends.
