CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Austin Peay football will make another trek “Between the Hedge’s” after the APSU athletics department agreed to a 2025 date with Georgia, as both programs have announced.

The Governors made their first trip to Athens, Georgia in 2018 to open up the season. The Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025 meeting with the Bulldogs marks the latest Southeast Conference opponent added to the Governors upcoming schedules, joining Ole Miss in 2021 and Alabama in 2022.

“We’re excited to make a return trip Between the Hedges in 2025,” said Austin Peay Director of Athletics Gerald Harrison. “Our student-athletes will enjoy the opportunity to compete in Sanford Stadium, one of college football’s premier venues and I am excited for the next class of Governors to have that opportunity. Like last year, I know Stacheville will travel in large numbers to Athens to support the Govs!”

Following the contest with the Bulldogs in 2025, Austin Peay will travel to take on Middle Tennessee on Saturday, Sept. 13.
