What Aspire Clarksville Foundation Means to the Community

Montgomery County continues to grow, with a population increase of 19.5% since 2010 to 205,950 people today. Median homeprices are also on the rise with more millennials and families entering the area. This growth trajectory demands proper planning and an active leadership to ensure controlled strategic growth.

While the average citizen won’t see a direct daily impact from the Aspire Clarksville Foundation initiatives, their purpose is to provide that strategic growth to foster and build a higher quality of life. All residents do benefit from the goals achieved by the Foundation through their partnerships.

“When we sat down as a team and started discussing the concept of the Aspire Six campaign,” says Jeff Truitt, CEO of the Economic Development Council and Executive Director of the Aspire Foundation, “We recognized that the word “connect” was repeated over and over again. Making all parts of our community work together to connect all elements creates a successful Montgomery County. Our community is so unique in the fact we are home to the fastest growing university in the state of Tennessee, Austin Peay State University, the 5th largest city in the state, one of the largest and most powerful military installations in the world and some of the most incredible, most hard-working individuals I know.”
Aspire initiatives focus on three general areas of development: industrial and business, community, and tourism. Progress on the Aspire Foundations campaign will continue in the coming months and years. To learn more about Aspire and the Economic Development Council visit ClarksvillePartnership.com
