CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Arby’s Foundation presented Progressive Directions, Inc. with a check for $15,000 Friday, September 27.

The donation went toward the purchase of a new Ford Fusion, which will be used in the early interventions program and to transport Buddy Ball participants.

Progressive Directions, Inc. is a nonprofit charitable organization with more than 40  years of history in Clarksville supporting people with intellectual and or developmental disabilities so they can attain personal success through gaining pride, dignity, and independence. They currently help over 1,200 individuals in Middle Tennessee.

“We are so excited about [this donation],” said Jay Albertia, President and CEO of PDI, “It shows that businesses and non-profit partnerships can truly work in a community. This shows the love in our community.”

Area Arby’s employees and managers learned about PDI’s missions and goals and then presented the check.

The Arby’s Foundation,  “Make a Difference” fundraiser will be accepting $1 donations starting Monday for three-weeks to benefit nonprofits such as PDI.

“We are excited to help the community as much as we can through the Arby’s Foundation,” said Tonya Ladd, Arby’s area supervisor.
