Update, Aug. 12, 1:45 p.m.: Arapaap announced that new owners will be taking over the restaurant, and a grand reopening date will be announced in the near future.
“Owning this restaurant has been an incredibly meaningful journey. We are so grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way. While it’s bittersweet to close this chapter, we are leaving with a full heart and so many wonderful memories,” said an Arapaap Facebook post on Wednesday.
“Thank you for believing in us, supporting our dream, and making Arapaap what it has been. The new owners have been hard at work preparing to welcome you back with the same delicious musubis, firecracker chicken, ube parfaits, baked salmon and all your favorites that you know and love. Yes, the menu will remain, but I am excited to see what else they add. Stay tuned for updates on their official grand re-opening date, but until then, come celebrate with us one last time on August 15th.”

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Arapaap, located at 100 Main St. downtown, has announced plans to close after five years of serving the community.
In a recent social media post, owners said it has been so much more than a restaurant since opening their doors in 2021. “It’s been a place where community gathered, friendships were made and countless celebrations were shared. We are incredibly proud of the business we have built together, and we are absolutely heartbroken to see it come to an end.”
‘One of the greatest blessings of our lives’
“The time has come to finally close this chapter in our lives. It’s been the best five years,” said Arapaap’s owners. “Not many know the owners to Arapaap, so let me re-introduce the siblings behind it: Faith, Debbie and Chef David.
“‘Arapaap’ is an Ilocano word for ‘dream.’ It was Chef’s ultimate dream to someday open his own restaurant. When the opportunity came in 2021, we jumped on it. We faced a few challenges due to COVID, but we held on. Arapaap has been one of the greatest blessings of our lives. It has allowed us to serve this community, build meaningful relationships, and watch something that started as a dream become a reality.”
While Arapaap doesn’t have a closing date just yet, the owners said if anyone is interested in a turnkey business opportunity, they are open to having conversations.
