CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Austin Peay’s first Science on Tap brought 75 guests together at the Strawberry Alley Pilsner Room to enjoy a pint while learning about black holes. The program returns Tuesday, October 1 for a first hand look at the science of beer.
Science on Tap is a monthly lecture series hosted by APSU’s College of STEM that unites two great things: science and local brews. This month’s gathering doubles down on the beer portion of the program.
APSU chemistry professor Dr Allen Chaparadza will discuss the science of beer, aka fermentation. The title of Chaparadza’s talk is “Looks Good, Tastes Good but What’s More?”
Science on Tap is held on the first Tuesday of every month. Future topics will include Clarksville’s sinkhole topography, the newly discovered Screaming Eagle crayfish and the New Madrid Fault.
