CLARKSVILLE, TN –APSU College Democrats proudly announce the hosting of a “Meet the Candidates” event on Monday, Feb. 19, from 6 to 8 p.m., located in MUC 303-305 at Austin Peay State University.
The event aims to provide a platform for Democratic candidates across various levels of government, including candidates for US Congress, State House and Senate, as well as School Board positions. Students, faculty, staff, and members of the surrounding community are invited to attend and engage directly with the candidates, discussing their platforms and sharing their perspectives on key issues affecting the community.
“Meet the Candidates” offers a unique opportunity for voters to interact with those seeking to represent them in various capacities, fostering dialogue and enabling informed decision-making. Light refreshments will be provided, creating an informal setting conducive to conversation and engagement.
“We’re excited to host this event, providing a platform for the community to meet Democratic candidates and learn more about their vision for our district and our state,” said Toniah Anderson, President of APSU College Democrats. “We encourage everyone to join us for what promises to be an informative and engaging evening.”
